Club nights resume Monday 8th June at 7pm!!!

 

Please check our Event listed on our Facebook page and click 'going'  if you are going to attend. 

 

Courts are limited to 4 players per court and as such we are limited to 28 members per night, so this will be on a first in first serve basis. If number of players is above 28 then we will unfortunately have to turn players away. This will hopefully only be for 1 or 2 weeks until restrictions ease when we change to level 1.

 

Please arrive no earlier than 6.55pm (to give prior court hire players time to leave), and preferably no later than 7.35pm. You may leave when you choose.

If everyone can please read entry rules below prior to entering the stadium will help ensure everyones safety.

 

Firstly, if you are feeling unwell, please stay at home.

 

Entry Conditions: Upon entering the stadium, people must move to the right hand side (follow the floor markers) to hand sanitise using the dispenser in the foyer area, then CHECK-IN by scanning one of the QR codes posted around the foyer. Once QR code is scanned it will come up with a bright yellow tick, and this tick must be sighted by either a member of the Hamilton Badminton club or a WBA staff member before heading to the courts. There will be a club member at the door to assist you if needed. If you do not have a mobile phone or able to scan the QR code, your contact details will need to be manually filled in on a form in the foyer.

Notes:

  • The first time the QR code is used you will need to enter fill in your details. 

  • You need to have mobile data turned on.
     

Exit Conditions: To exit the stadium, people must move to the right hand side (follow the floor markers) to CHECK-OUT with a club member or WBA staff, or have their mobile phones ready for use to scan a check-out code available at the foyer noticeboard.

Physical Distancing: Players must maintain at least a 1 metre distance from one another when possible, and should not mingle/mix with other clubs or groups within the stadium.

Other Areas: Access to the upstairs viewing gallery and downstairs club room is restricted to WBA Staff only. Toilets and changerooms are open but showers are not to be used. The use of water fountain is discouraged so players should bring their own filled water bottles, along with their own equipment (badminton shoes, rackets, shuttles, towels).

Care & Advice: Players must wash their hands before and after play, and avoid touching their faces or common surfaces. Please be kind to one another as we want to ensure we can all PLAY IT SAFE and stay healthy and open in the long term. Also, when returning to sport, take it easy, warm up and get your body used to moving around the badminton court before overdoing anything in a game!

We will have signage throughout the stadium to assist with these processes. If you are unsure please ask WBA Staff or whom is looking after club night prior to doing anything as one simple action could affect everyone. Personal hygiene, physical distancing, and contact tracing all play a huge part of our sport in the foreseeable future. It is essential that all players, visitors, and staff abide by the criteria - we hope you enjoy being back in badminton again and hope to see you on court soon!

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Upstairs if currently strictly out of bounds. Club night will be run from down stairs by courts 2 & 3, and remember to keep your 1m distance. There are markers every 2 meters on the bleachers as a guide.
